Hide & Eek! – light up pages to reveal images

Hide & Eek! is a great idea from illustrator Rebecca Sutherland and design agency Hat-trick: a ‘scary book’ made from translucent paper which is blank under normal light, but when you shine a torch underneath it, illustrations and scary characters appear!

It works with the idea of kids reading books under the duvet when they’re supposed to be asleep, or telling ghost stories in the dark. Good timing with Halloween coming up. Here’s how it works:

I think they should use the idea for stories other than scary ones, to broaden the usage of this great technology.
