There’s been some great coverage ahead of this weekend’s Halal Food Festival, in the Independent and in the Guardian. They’ve used some big stats about consumption of halal meat and the growing Muslim population to help explain the idea behind the event, as well as highlighting some of the barriers that prevent Muslims from fully immersing themselves in the whole foodies/gourmet scene.
Props to the organisers for coming up with the word ‘haloodies’ – halal foodies.
