One to watch: flying fast food

Flying fast food delivery drones are definitely one to watch, with two big brands testing out prototypes in the last few weeks.

It all feels a bit ‘Jetsons’.

First, Domino’s Pizza tested out the DomiCopter, a flying device (with eight spinning blades) that delivers pizza. Watch the video below.

It’s now with the company’s UK HQ for further testing/development, with plans to see if it can carry other items, like two-litre bottles of Coke.

YO! Sushi is also testing out the iTray, a carbon fibre flying device that can fly up to 25mph and to a range of 50 metres. It’s controlled using an iPad app.
