Food fad: potato parties

This one needs to be filed under ‘That sh#t cray’.

Kids in Japan have started a fad called ‘potato parties’ where they buy a huge amount of fries in McDonald’s, tip them onto trays and then gorge themselves on the salty snack.

Absolutely ridic, but I am slightly jealous. The pictures say it all.

It all kicked off in October when Maccy D’s in Japan had an offer on fries (¥150). They were really cheap and groups of children decided to take advantage. One group tweeted a pic of 23 portions dumped onto a table. This was retweeted thousands of times. Then another group decided to top it and then there was a snowball effect.
