Props to the Preston Guild 2012 organisers for what’s been a brilliant start to the celebrations.
There’s been a great buzz in the city, with some excellent events, plus some great PR.
As well as the local BBC and ITV (obvs), the Lancashire Evening Post has done its job very well. The national coverage has also been great. Check out the Financial Times article and the Guardian piece.
The programme for this year’s Guild is full of things I’ve actually wanted to go to (for a change!). Highlights so far include the Guild Vintage Weekend curated by Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway, Cake City (gutted I missed it!) and a popup pie shop in Winckley Square!
GFest on Saturday (8 Sept) will see DAPPY, LABRINTH, Maverick Sabre and Stooshe performing in our Avenham Park. Crazy, but true.
