Food fad: Milk Bars

Viral Swagger calls it the “Stupidest Trend Ever“, but I’m interested to see how ‘milk bars’ take off in America. There’s a couple of recent openings in New York, but we’ll have to watch this space to see if they spread outside of Brooklyn (Milk Bar – bit confusing because I can’t see any milk on their menu…) and Manhattan (Momofuku).

Fancy milk and biscuits when you’re out and about? Hmm, not sure about that, but these things from the Momofuku menu sound pretty good:

Cereal Milk – tastes like what’s left when you’ve finished your cereal, apparently…

Compost Cookie – filled with pretzels, potato chips, coffee, oats, butterscotch, and chocolate chips.

Yet again Americans think something is new just because they get there after the rest of us.
We had milk bars all over the UK 40+ years ago.
