TNBT: Good cake gone bad

Forget girly cupcakes, pink swirly frosting, dainty little macaroons, whoopie pies, childish cake pops and the rest of those innocent sweet home baked goods… it’s all about GOOD CAKE GONE BAD.

Sponge cake? Chuck in a can of Coke. (See ‘Fizzy ‘pop’ cake trend post)

Brownies? Smash in some Oreos. This Lorraine Pascale recipe is brilliant.

We can’t take any more sweet, innocent, girly, sugary sweet, pink swirly cakes… it’s time to punch fairy cakes in the face, kick the asses of swirly cupcakes and stick in some ingredients that are junky and bad for you but taste GOOOOOD. Go crazy (and send me pics).

(Any upcoming junk baking trend will be purely coincidental… unless any influential foodies are reading this and decide to jump on board!)

I came across your blog and was very interested in your home design articles. I just had a couple of questions, so if you could e-mail me back that would be great! Thank you for your time.
