Quora’s being tipped as ‘tnbt’ – the Telegraph is even saying that it will be ‘bigger than Twitter’.
I’ve just signed up (using my Twitter connections) and am not sure what it is or what to do with it.
“Quora is a continually improving collection of questions and answers created, edited, and organized by everyone who uses it. The most important thing is to have each question page become the best possible resource for someone who wants to know about the question.”
Not sure what that means, but might be worth taking a look at this Q&A to get the basic info: http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/37608/what-is-quora
UPDATE (5 Jan 2011): It’s actually quite interesting, though not that different to Twitter. I suppose it’s alot easier to follow conversations/topics, without the 140 character limit. Not too sure why most people would use it (but alot of people said that about Facebook and Twitter). Let’s see what happens.
